If you have any problems accessing any part of our webpage please feel free to contact a member of the IT Team. Call the practice on the normal number and a receptionist will put you through.
The receptionists are fully trained and have a difficult job. They have a wealth of knowledge and could possibly answer most of your queries although they can NOT give advice on medical matters. Remember that if you are asked seemingly irritating questions, it is because they have to assess the urgency of your request. The more information you give them, the more equipped they will be to help you. We also have other staff members who are involved in computing and other administrative duties.
The district nurses provide nursing care and support to patients in their own homes when they are too ill to attend surgery. The team provides specialist nursing care as necessary. This care includes wound care, leg ulcer management, palliative care, advice and support in maintaining health and referrals to appropriate heath professionals/social services as required. The Nurse Visitors for Older Adults can assess, implement and advise on all aspects of care and services that are available for the housebound older adults and those with long term conditions.
Based at Heysham Primary Care Centre Tel: 01524 518550.
The health visitor can advise on health care to all age groups but is mainly involved with mothers, babies and young children. Their work includes child health surveillance, childhood immunisations & general health promotion.

Our support pharmacist, Daniel Holehouse BPharm (Hons) MRPS SP, advises not only our patients but also the whole healthcare team on issues relating to medicines. Our support pharmacist holds medication review clinics at all sites throughout the week. A Medication review is a chance to check that your medicines are the best ones for you, that they are working as well as they can and are not causing any side effects. You can make an appointment via reception at any site.
